Greenpoint and Williamsburg only have a handful of convicted sex offenders, but Bushwick is a different story:
New York State, like many states, allows you to search for a sex offender. The Empire State only lets you map individual sex offenders. You can’t plot a map of all of the sex offenders currently registered around your block or your neighborhood. For example, if you live on the Lower East Side, you can’t see all the offenders near you. In an effort to make this data more accessible, we’ve (literally) put every sex offender in New York City on the map. Just click on each point to view pictures, name, offense, and a link to the full rap sheet provided by NYS Criminal Justices…Anyone who uses this information to injure, harass or commit a criminal act against any person may be subject to criminal prosecution.
