Around 3 pm this afternoon, a shooting and possible police standoff took place on Greenpoint Avenue near the intersection of McGuinness Boulevard. Twitter user Camille Raneem (@sufiinthesaddle) was nearby during the height of the fiasco, live-tweeting that the shooter was locked inside 183 Greenpoint Ave. It’s suspected that a landlord was shot and “left in grave condition” by his tenant according to news sources.

According to ABC 7, the NYPD has confirmed one unidentified man taken to the hospital; the shooter is his tenant, 51-year-old retired NYPD police officer.
