Early Wednesday morning a pair of armed robbers took $2,000 from a safe in Bedford Avenue restaurant The MeatBall Shop after forcing a worker into a freezer. From DNA info:
The duo walked into the popular restaurant at 170 Bedford Avenue at 3:01 a.m. Wednesday, with one of them brandishing a gun, and demanded that a 30-year-old employee take them to the basement, police said. Once downstairs, the suspects told the man to open the restaurant’s safe, and he complied, police said. A video police released of the incident shows one of the robbers pointing a gun at the employee and walking him through an open door. The pair grabbed $2,000 in cash from the safe while making the employee stay in the freezer before fleeing, police said.
Video of the incident can be seen below and shows a fairly clear view of the robbers so hopefully they will be apprehended soon:
